Welcome to my Franchise

Welcome to our Franchise

Playball Wimbledon was the first Playball franchise to be set up in the UK. We coach both in schools, privately on Wimbledon Park tennis courts and indoors at Wimbledon Park Hall and St Lukes Church Hall. We are professionals in our field of coaching, and particularly in coaching the age group of 2 to 7 years. We have successfully coached over five thousand children in the Wimbledon/Southfields/Wimbledon Park area since we started in 2003. We look forward to meeting you, and your child when you book your class.

Terms and Conditions of our Bookings:

Contact Details
As we may be teaching, email is preferred as it will still be read after hours. Our Primary email address is wimbledon@playballkids.com and should you need it, our number is 07534134669.
Fees
Fees are payable up front for each term to secure a place in the lesson. No place is guaranteed without payment and enrolling.

Our Venues
We are incredibly grateful to be using the venues that we currently use. Please make sure children and parents alike treat the venues with respect. Playball or the venue have the right to ask you to leave if rules are not adhered to. Our venues and their addresses are listed on our website.

Playball Classes
We advise you to join a class before the term has started to receive the maximum benefit from the lessons and the Playball programme. Classes can also be joined at any point during a term, and a pro rata system is used to determine the price.
Unless advised otherwise, classes run for 45 minutes.

Playball Camps
Camps run for 3 hours. You can book as many or as few days as you like. Anyone who has not been to Playball classes or camps are welcome. A snack, packed lunch and water will need to be sent with your child.
What to bring with you (to a class or camps)
• Comfortable clothing and trainers.
• Appropriate clothing for rain and/or cold and a hat/sunscreen for the sun.
• If attending camps, please bring a packed lunch with plenty of water and/or juice.

First Aid and Injuries
Playball coaches are trained in the basics of first aid and CPR and by accepting these terms and conditions you are authorising them to give your child first aid, in the best interests of your child. Every effort will be made to contact you in the event of a serious emergency requiring medical attention for your child. However, should you or your emergency contact be unavailable, we reserve the right to call an ambulance to transport your child to a hospital should this be necessary.
First Aid kits are located at all indoor venues. When outdoors, each coach’s equipment bag has a basic first aid kit.
As with most physical activities that involve groups of children, minor injuries are common. We do not take injuries lightly, but we do assess the situation and decide on the best course of action, provided all reasonable care and precautions are taken.

Playball cannot be held responsible for any accident which may occur during our lessons or camps, and all persons take part in Playball activities at their own risk. Your child should abide by all rules set out by Playball and its venues and may be excluded if the rules are not followed.

Change of Teacher and Venue
Although we strive to keep the same teacher for the term, due to unforeseen circumstances, it may be necessary to change or substitute a teacher for a few lessons or for the remainder of the term. At certain venues and at various times of the year, it may be necessary to change the venue. All parents will be notified of the change as soon as it is possible.

Data Protection
We will use the information you provide to communicate with you and inform you of upcoming lessons, camps and special offers. Emails are our primary form of communication. It is up to you, the client, to keep your mobile number and email address current. If you fail to inform us of a change of mobile number, email address or address, we cannot be held liable for information you may have missed.
Under the data protection act 1998, photographed material must be authorised by a parent/guardian. If you do not wish for photographs of your child to be published, please make sure you leave the check box unchecked when booking in that says “My kid(s) can be photographed and used in Playball marketing.”

Term Dates and Venues
Our term dates are usually aligned with the government school term dates. Please check emails for term dates (including half term). This information is also available on our website. There are no lessons over the school half term or on public holidays. There are usually Playball Camps that run over school half term.

Trials
All trials must be organised through the Playball Franchise Owner or administrator. Drop ins are not permitted as our classes are kept at a high quality by keeping the numbers per class small. We cannot compromise our lessons by adding extra children in.

Class Cancellations due to your Playball Franchise
Playball Classes/Camps will always go ahead unless you are advised otherwise. We will always strive to give you as much notice as possible if a class or camp needs to be cancelled, especially in the case of bad weather. Playball Classes/Camps are usually only cancelled if extremely heavy rain is forecast and there is no indoor alternative.

Cancellations and Refunds
If a cancellation needs to be made, 7 days’ notice from the commencement of your Playball Class/Camp booking must be given in order to receive a full refund. Any cancellations made with 6 days to 24 hours to go, will be granted a refunded of 50%. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours to the start of the first day booked will not be awarded a refund.
Lessons missed due to illness, or a class cancelled due to extreme weather, (i.e. snow), can be made up by attending other classes on an alternate day and time provided there is space in the class.

Cancellations due to COVID-19 (Corona Virus)
Our lessons will always go ahead unless a law is passed that states they cannot, and in the case that they cannot go ahead, alternative lessons such as makeups or online lessons will be provided. If online lessons are taught in place of regular lessons, we will refund parents 40% of the lesson’s value to reflect the value lost in physically attending a Playball class. This means that classes will only cost 60% of their usual price whilst we are in a lockdown. Playball will always adhere to and follow official Government advice on Corona Virus, and will take every measure to make our lessons as hygienic and responsible as possible.
