Welcome to my Franchise
Welcome to our FranchisePlayball is more than just sports instruction. We take a holistic approach and believe that our classes promote physical, emotional, cognitive and social development. For example, children learn valuable skills in attention and concentration, develop confidence, form and solidify friendships.
We help children develop skills that deal with the challenges and obstacles of everyday life through sport and we adapt and modify our sessions in order to make them inclusive for all ability levels.
The success of the Playball 'sport programme' is that through competent sports participation, your child will secure a solid base from which to develop many other important aspects of their lives.

I have spent over twenty five years coaching a multitude of sports and teaching Physical Education to children in both Primary and Secondary schools in Ireland. I have been actively involved with Playball for the past seven years and have thoroughly enjoyed the concept of Playball and watching every child develop and grow at their own pace. I am constantly working with children with various disabilities including Autism, Asperger's, ASD, DCD, Down Syndrome and ADHD and I have completed a certificate in Disability Inclusion Training with CARA- National Adapted Physical Activity Centre. I represented my country at Hockey, Athletics & Cricket and captained my country in the Cricket European Championship to became the first captain to win the tournament. I have also represented my hockey club at European Level and represented my province at squash.

Playball coaches recognise that when coaching young children sport, it is not appropriate to teach physical skills in isolation. The emotional, social and cognitive development of the student has an equally important role to play when considering how the student is taught. A very important component of our teaching methodology, is to make the children aware about social skills, values and norms whilst developing their physical skills. This approach is educational and holistic, ensuring that the focus is on the development of the “whole child”. Our approach is a positive one – we believe that positive encouragement and giving the child an opportunity to experience success (however small) results in improved self-concept and confidence which in turn will improve competence.
What Makes Playball Special
Children thrive in our fun filled, high quality sport lessons. Creating a learning environment, which boosts confidence and self-esteem, is paramount.
The children will be coached to engage confidently in a wide range of sport skills, preparing them for years of positive, competent sports participation.
The Playball program follows a holistic approach and offers learning opportunities and experiences relating to the cognitive, physical, social and emotional development of the child. Playball takes advantage of developmental windows of opportunity by providing a wide range of suitable movement skills and physical activities in a safe and secure environment - perfect for optimal learning!
At Playball, we help children develop fundamental building blocks of sport, agility balance and coordination, as well as the three key elements of physical fitness - endurance, strength and flexibility.
