Welcome to our Franchise

We’re delighted to bring Playball to Newcastle and the North East, with our first classes launching in Whitley Bay.

The Newcastle franchise offers specially designed, age-appropriate programmes for children aged 2–4 initially with further classes to follow; watch this space!

Whether your child is taking their first steps into sport or already loves being active, Playball provides the foundations they need to grow in confidence and develop skills for life.

All of our Whitley Bay Playball classes take place indoors, providing a comfortable and consistent environment whatever the weather.

Our coaches have over 12 years of Playball coaching experience and have previously owned and run a successful Playball franchise in London.

We firmly believe in the Playball philosophy of Learn. Practise. Play. By introducing new skills, giving children the opportunity to practise them and then applying those skills through fun games and activities, we can help children develop confidence alongside their sporting ability.

We aim to create a positive environment where every child feels included, encouraged and celebrated, while giving them the confidence to try new things and discover what they are capable of.

We're incredibly excited to welcome families from across Newcastle and the North East and can't wait to meet you and your little ones!

Hi, I'm Mark, the Lead Coach & Franchise Owner of Playball Newcastle! With over 12 years of coaching experience and as the owner of a successful Playball franchise in London, I've had the privilege of helping hundreds of children develop confidence, fundamental movement skills and a lifelong love of being active. What I love most about Playball is that no two children, and no two lessons are ever the same. Every session is carefully planned to be fun, engaging and full of variety, creating an environment where every child feels encouraged to explore, learn and succeed. I firmly believe in the Playball philosophy of Learn. Practise. Play. By introducing new skills, giving children the opportunity to practise them, and then applying them through fun games and activities, we help build confidence that extends far beyond the sports court. Every child learns differently, and that's something I truly embrace. My aim is to ensure every child feels included, supported and celebrated as they grow in confidence, develop new skills and discover just how capable they are. I'm incredibly excited to bring the Playball programme to families across Newcastle and the North East and I can't wait to welcome you and your little one to begin their Playball journey. Our Classes

Playball Newcastle will be launching with the below 3 programs in September with further classes to follow in due course -

I CAN DO (Age 2 - 3)
I Can Do is Playball's introductory program for 2 and 3 year olds. It focuses on laying the basic foundations of movement, in order to enable your child to accomplish more challenging sport related skills, as they get older.

A 2 year old is still discovering the wonderful things that bodies can do, and needs lots of practice in basic skills through fun but structured sessions.

WATCH ME PLAY (Age 3 - 4)
This program recognizes and develops the growing skill set of your 3 and 4 year old child.

Our focus here is on participation within a group, and teaching children in a friendly, caring and supportive environment through carefully structured lessons.

DINKIES (Ages 4–5)
This program is specifically designed for 4 and 5 year olds, and is perfect for youngsters just starting school. Using a series of structured lessons, your child is given the opportunity to practice skills which will develop their confidence to continue the exciting journey into sport participation and tackling more advanced sport skills.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT OUR CLASSES -
Your 45-minute Playball session will be packed with fun, movement and age-appropriate activities designed to help your child build skills, grow in confidence and develop a lifelong love of being active.

Our classes are intentionally kept small, so every child gets the encouragement, attention and opportunity to learn and progress.

There’s no need to worry if your little one is nervous at first. Every child is different, and our coaches are there to help them settle in, have fun and participate at their own pace.

WHAT TO BRING -
- A water bottle
- Comfortable clothing and suitable trainers
- And your biggest smiles!

We’ll take care of the rest and provide all the equipment your child will need.

A LITTLE NOTE -
Parents and carers are welcome to stay onsite throughout the session. Once your child is settled, we encourage you to watch from a little distance, giving them the opportunity to build independence and confidence while knowing you're close by.
