Welcome to our Franchise

Welcome to our Playball Belfast family where children are motivated to want to play be active and learn essential fundamental skills for all ball sports. We are a multi-sport group that encourages all-round development through structured sports play sessions. Helping children find their feet onto the sport field is just one small part of what we do at Playball. Our primary concern is developing the whole child so that they feel confident to try new things become more independent leaving mum (2cando) or the caregiver and enjoying social time with new friends in a teacher-led environment. Our coaches are motivated, and are experts in their field working with young children and delivering excellent high quality Playball classes. We offer weekly term time classes and our very popular Playball BELFAST summer Easter and mid-term camps at Methody/Ardnavalley and Rosetta each year. We offer classes on Monday through to Saturday morning and afternoon, at various locations around Belfast and Holywood. Classes generally take place inside, and we try to move outside where possible during the summer months.

Hi everyone! I'm coach Samara, I moved here 6 years ago and love it. I have 3 very energetic children. I enjoy alot of sports and I play rugby for Lisburn and I am also a personal trainer. I love teaching playball especially to the 2s and 3s and my favourite skill to coach is kicking a ball!

Hi Everyone, My name is Lexi and I am 24 years old and am from the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the United States! I came to Belfast in August 2019 through a program called Sport Changes Life which allowed me to play basketball and work within the Belfast youth community. I also attended Ulster University and got my Masters in Sports, Coaching and Performance. I have an undergrad degree in Health Care Management, a Masters Certificate in Business Analytics and a certificate in Leadership all through Rider University. While studying at Rider University I played Division I basketball and earning all conference honors my senior year. I am very excited to be a Playball coach and have this opportunity to work with children in a sport setting! I have coached numerous basketball teams and I believe my background in sports will help reach your child’s athletic levels at a young age! I coach the Watch Me Play classes and have a blast! I am a very bubbly, friendly, and fun person who loves to teach and help others! Hopefully I will see you in the Playball classes!

My name is Uma and I have moved to Northern Ireland from England! I love sport, being active and having fun! Currently I do a lot of horse riding and competing when I can. This is where my love for coaching started! I also love playing lacrosse, tennis and athletics! Coaching for me is all about enjoying yourself and having fun as well as getting in the practise and skills to help you as an individual achieve your goals! Sport and being active is so important at any age which is why I love that I have the chance to help and encourage children to do this and have fun at the same time!

Ross is a passionate hockey player for Bangor and coaches hockey both locally and for Ulster u16’s. As well as hockey Ross likes cricket, football and golf and even has a winning medal for playing in the American Football league in Ireland. Ross loves to make a difference and we are delighted to have him on board!

Hi my name is Kellie and I love coaching. I currently coach at BRA and Victoria and play hockey for Holywood ladies. I completed my degree in health physical activity in sport in 2021 and have been working with and coaching children ever since. I have a passion for all sports particularly Tennis, Golf and Hockey. I am delighted to be joining the playball team! I can't wait to tell you all about my furry friends, Zazu, Ernie and Winnie, my pet rabbits!!

Jessica is the newest member of the team and has 9 years experience working with young children in numerous settings. She has always enjoyed working with children which is why she chose her degree in Physical Activity, Exercise and Health. She is fun, caring, and enthusiastic and wants everyone to have fun, if you are having fun, so is she! She is a member of girls brigade and enjoys watching and playing a wide range of sports, especially athletics and netball.

Our Classes

The Playball program follows a holistic approach and offers learning opportunities and experiences relating to the cognitive, physical, social and emotional development of the child. Playball takes advantage of developmental windows of opportunity by providing a wide range of suitable movement skills and physical activities in a safe and secure environment - perfect for optimal learning!

At Playball, we help children develop fundamental building blocks of sport, agility balance and coordination, as well as the three key elements of physical fitness - endurance, strength and flexibility.

Our Camps

Playball holiday camps are tailored to meet the needs of younger children and are based on the fundamental sport skills for tennis, hockey, cricket, golf, football, rugby, basketball, football, volleyball - just about any ball sport you can imagine!

The purpose of our Playball holiday camps is to provide high quality, age-appropriate and fun holiday activities for children aged 3-9 years.

2 Hours of fun and madness for your child at a venue of your choice or select from the options below:Your child will enjoy 1 and 1/2 hours of their favourite Playball games that they know and love with their favourite Playball coaches. (1/2 hour is then allowed for food and birthday cake)PLAYBALL PARTY – £130 – up to 20 children – (venue is charged in addition)PLAYBALL PIZZA PARTY – £140 – up to 20 children – (venue is charged in addition)Each additional child is charged at £5 up to and including 30 children, any additional child will then be charged at £4.


Playball is an educational environment and we work with many schools as part of their curriculum or as an after school/morning activity. We are partners in Education. Please contact us if you would like to introduce Playball at your school. We teach Playball at the following schools as part of their curriculum:Holy Rosary Pre-school, St. Colmcille's, St. Bernards Pre-school playgroup and Fullarton Prep Pre-school, Newtownards pre-school. We currently teach the Playball programme as an after-school activity at: Inchmarlo Prep, BT9, St. Bernards P.S. BT6, St. Michael's P.S. BT7, St. Brides P.S. BT9, St. Josephs Ballyhackamore.
