Welcome to our Franchise
Playball Active was founded in 2013 after Erin fell in love with the program while working part time as a coach. Based in central, west Auckland we cover suburbs from Mt Albert, Blockhouse Bay, Green Bay, Titirangi, Glen Eden, New Lynn, Te Atatu Peninsula and Henderson. We also have a couple of classes in Onehunga and Mangere Bridge.Our Playball Active coaches have a real passion for child development, striving to develop the whole child through using sport as a vessel. We build fantastic relationships with the children we coach and look forward to going to work every day. Come and have some fun with us!

Erin Skeen

She is extremely passionate about seeing children develop and whole heartedly believes in the Playball Program. Erin is bubbly and energetic and has three busy boys of her own. She coaches all age groups and loves having fun while watching her Playballers grow and learn as they practice new skills. |

Dave Otter
active@playball.co.nz // Mobile: 64 21 082 71000 Coach Dave has been with us since 2018 and is a huge asset to the team. Dave has a Bachelors degree in sport and management from Unitec, and loves seeing kids develop skills such as confidence and team work alongside the physical sporting skills. Dave coaches all age groups from 2 - 9 years, he also works on all our enrolments and is the face behind the active@playball.co.nz email. |

Hope Curtis
Hope joined us in 2020 and is a fantastic member of our Playball team. With a background in fitness and athletics and a son of her own, Coach Hope is our technique queen. She is full of energy and always has her teams laughing with her hilarious banter! The kids love her! |

Ben Cameron
Ben is a fantastic asset to our coaching team! His energy, fun nature and ability to build rapport easily makes him an instant hit with the kids. His love for all sports means he's spent his schooling career giving everything a go. Ben currently plays premiers Rugby and loves being part of a team environment. |

Leo Maisey
Leo has a certificate in outdoor education and is currently studying Sport and Recreation at Unitec. He plays football competitively where he has represented Gisborne and AFF in Canberra . Leo has a wealth of knowledge to share in football and volley ball as well as a keen interest in many other sports. Leo is a great asset to our team. |

Our Classes
Scroll down to see CLASS VENUES and to BOOK your class!Playball Classes are age specific for children aged 2-9yrs. Classes are run in preschools, schools and in public venues and are aligned with the school terms.

Childcare Centres
Children at the centre can book in and join the class run onsite at daycare! No more rushing here and there and everywhere to get to extra curricular activities between all the other things in your week!
Public Venues
We work very closely with our community and are proudly supported by the Whau Local board and the Henderson-Massey Local Board to offer public preschool classes in the following venues.

School classes for children aged 5-9yrs
School classes are run either before school from 8-8.40am, at lunch time, or after school from 3-4pm. Children at the school have priority for these classes however if there are spaces (from week 2) and children from other schools would like to join us there may be an option to do so. At after school classes coaches are onsite from the bell and can collect children from their classes in year 1 and 2. Parents are welcome to come in for the session or pick up after the class.

Our Camps
Playball Active runs 2hr workshops in the school holidays!!Playball workshops are tailored to meet the needs of children ages 3-9years and are based on the fundamental sport skills for a range of popular sports as well as team and partner work, confidence, perseverance, trying something new and having FUN!!
The purpose of our Playball holiday workshops is to provide high quality, age-appropriate and fun holiday activities for children aged 4-9 years at a low cost for families. The workshops will keep kids active and off devices while parents can get in a couple of hours work or time to themselves. Win Win!

Schools
We work in preschools and schools throughout the week. Classes are split according to age and run with a maximum child:coach ratio of 10:1.School classes are run either before school from 8-8.40am, at lunch time, or after school from 3-4pm. Children at the school have priority for these classes however if there are spaces (from week 2) and children from other schools would like to join us there may be an option to do so. At after school classes coaches are onsite from the bell and can collect children from their classes in year 1 and 2. Parents are welcome to come in for the session or pick up after the class.
During our fast paced, fun 30-45min session we cover skills ranging from gross motor movement like jumping and running to basics in sport like catching, throwing, dribbling, hitting to name a few! Promoting physical, cognitive, emotional and social development our games/classes have been developed improved and re-designed over the past 35 years.
Playball Active delivers classes in 5 primary schools, however there are 7 franchisees across Auckland so be sure to check your location in 'find classes here' as Playball may well be at your school too!
