Welcome to our Franchise
Playball is an internationally renowned sport and movement program. We use a game-based approach to teach our children.Our research and development team has developed an exclusive curriculum of games that incorporate movement and sports skills for eight popular sports.
A typical lesson involves a warm up, four or five different games focusing on specific skills and a fun game to end.
The games included vary depending on the age-group but often cover catching, kicking, accurate use of hockey sticks and tennis rackets and various types of throws.

Our Camps
Our Dunedin based holiday program has been operating out of Bayfield High School since 2013 and Otago Boys High School since 2021. The full program runs from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday however there are options for half-days and school days.The program is perfect for parents seeking quality child care during the holidays. Our focus is on developing sports skills through Playball classes and sports clinics in rugby, cricket, basketball, soccer and netball & hockey. We also include trip days and other fun activities that children love.
The program is suitable for children aged 5 - 13 years. We cater to everyone’s needs by offering a Junior and a Senior program.

Parties
We are a big fan of birthday parties at Playball and can provide the perfect hassle-free option that children LOVE.Playball parties cost $140 up to 14 children and are $240 for 15 children and above as we have two coaches.
All you have to provide is the venue - we take care of the rest! Backyards, the Edgar Centre, Schools and Scout Halls all work really well. As a guide, we need a minimum of 5x5 metres.
Playball parties are one hour long. We aim for 45 minutes of activities but allow time for introductions, a drinks break, and presenting the birthday boy or girl with a Playball t-shirt.
Schools
We work in preschools and schools throughout the week across the Dunedin area.During our fast paced, fun sessions we cover skills ranging from gross motor movement like jumping and running to basics in sport like catching, throwing, dribbling, hitting to name a few! Promoting physical, cognitive, emotional and social development our games/classes have been developed improved and re-designed over the past 35 years.
The most important part of our program is FUN! Come along and have a go!
