How can we contact you?

By email - playballsw@yahoo.co.uk
By phone - 07956183906

What are your fees and when do I need to pay?

£11.00 per class and fees are payable in advance. The total amount depends on how many weeks there are in a term. There is normally 10 - 13 weeks each term. Fees are payable up front for each term to secure a place in the lesson. No place is guaranteed without payment and enrolling.

Can I join part way through a term?

Enrolment is on-going, so you can join anytime! You may still register even if the start date has passed. Your fees will be adjusted on a pro rata basis.

Do you offer trials?

Yes, we do offer trial lessons. We do encourage trial lessons to be done before the start of the new term. You must book a space on the website and pay for the term before you attend the trial class. In the unlikely event that you decide not to enrol your child into Playball - a full refund will be given. We encourage this because anyone can book a space, without trialling a lesson and we would not want you to lose your child’s space in the class before you trial the lesson.

What if I miss a lesson?

No refunds are given for missed lessons. If your child misses his/her lesson, we will seek to offer catch up classes where possible. You can view the class schedule on our website. Make-ups do not transfer into the next term and must be cleared and booked with Playball Raynes Park before attending.

Do I (the carer) participate in the lesson?

All parents are invited to enjoy watching the class from a distance to keep distractions to a minimum. Parents must watch from a distance to let the class continue under the guidance of the teacher. If your child is unsettled, please take them away to settle them and then bring them back into the lesson. If your child needs to be made secure for the first lesson, please stand behind them. Encourage them to get involved and do step away as soon as possible. New two year olds may sit with their carer for the first few classes, until they get used to the routine.

My child is not participating in the lesson, what do I do?

Some 2 - 3 year old children do find the classes overwhelming when they first start. We do need to remember that this is your child’s first structured environment and they are unsure of what to expect and don’t know the coach. It is our job to encourage your child to join in and to build a relationship with your child so that he/she feels comfortable to participate. If your child is not joining in, please don’t take him/her home in the middle of the lesson. Your coach will still interact with your child and try his/her to get her to join in. It can take 1 lesson or sometimes it can take 5 lessons for your child to participate. In the end they always get there and to watch their confidence grow each week is great to see.

All the classes are full. Can I place my child in a lesson with older or younger children?

No. Each curriculum level is designed by child development professionals to best suit the physical milestone stages and goals of the age range they address. Please accept our professional judgement when placing a child in a particular class. Please allow our teachers to take control of the class by watching your child from a distance.

What are the lengths of each class?

Two Can Do Classes - are 45 minutes. Generally after 30 minutes toddlers start to get tired and distracted. We have only 6 children in the class to maximise time spent with each child. Rest assured, half way through the term, the class will be running for 45 minutes.
Watch Me At Three, Dinkies, Preps classes all run for 45 minutes.

What about clothing and different weather conditions?

As Playball is an outdoor programme, please dress your child appropriately. In wet weather, a water resistant hooded coat should be worn.

Can my child’s friend or family member “drop in” a class?

We do understand that sometimes you have family visiting or you are looking after someone elses child. If this child is of similar age to your child then yes, you may bring him/her for a drop in class. This must be arranged before the class starts and the cost is £10.00.

What is your refund policy?

Seven days notice from the first day of your booking must be given in order to receive a full refund. Cancellations made within the term may be given a refund, this is effective from the date you tell us you are no longer coming, but a cancellation fee of £20 per child will apply as we pay for venue hire at the start of term.

Cancellation of classes and camps:

Playball will not be liable or able to refund any fees for cancelled classes due to bad weather or any other unforeseen circumstances, in these extremely rare cases we will seek to offer catch up classes where possible.

What is your data protection policy?

We will use the information you provide to communicate with you and inform you of up and coming lessons, camps and special offers. Emails are our primary form of communication. It is up to you, the client, to keep your mobile number and email address current. If you fail to inform us of a change of mobile number, email address or address, we cannot be held liable for information you may have missed.

Franchise News Feed

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

With all the developments around coronavirus, we’d like to share some useful resources for staying informed and measures to help everyone feel and stay safe.

At Playball, our priority is the welfare of our parents, students and staff so we ask that you follow the latest advice and information from Public Health England (PHE), National Health Service and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Their websites provide lots of useful information on what to do if you’ve recently returned from one of the affected areas abroad and what you need to know if you’re experiencing symptoms.

The Government advice is call NHS 111, stay indoors and avoid contact with other people if you’ve travelled to the UK from:

– Hubei province in China in the last 24 days, even if you do not have symptoms
– Iran, lockdown areas in northern Italy or special care zones in South Korea since 19 February, even if you do not have symptoms
– other parts of mainland China or South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan or Thailand in the last 24 days and have a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath (even if your symptoms are mild)
– other parts of northern Italy (anywhere north of Pisa, Florence and Rimini), Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar or Vietnam since 19 February and have a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath (even if your symptoms are mild)

For all the latest information, visit the UK Government’s website https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public.

If you or your child are sick with flu-like symptoms, we ask that you don’t come to class. We realise it can be frustrating but please do take the time to stay at home and rest.

We can all help reduce the spread of illness, in general, by washing our hands regularly, covering our mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing.

We will continue to watch the situation closely and keep you informed from our end.

Thank you,

The Playball Team
